1.  Illum qegħdin niċċelebraw Jum Il-Missier. Il-quddies kollu jsir b’suffraġju jew għall-ħtiġijiet tal-missirijiet tagħna. Se noffru xi ħaġa żgħira lill-missirijiet preżenti wara l-quddies kollu bħalma għamilna f’Jum l-Omm.
 
2.  Nhar it-Tlieta jkollna ċ-Ċenaklu Ewkaristiku wara l-quddiesa ta’ fil-għaxija.
 
3. Il-Ħadd li ġej se jkollna Jum l-Ewwel Tqarbina. Biex nagħtu importanza lit-tfal u l-familji tagħhom, il-quddiesa tal-Ewwel Tqarbina se tkun fl-4.00 pm bl-ewwel postijiet irriservati għall-familji tat-tfal tal-preċett. Se jkanta l-Kor ta’ San Ġiljan. Matul din il-ġimgħa dawn it-tfal u l-familja tagħhom għandhom programm sħiħ ta’ tħejjija. Nitolbu għalihom u għall-katekisti li akkompanjawhom tul dawn l-aħħar xhur.
 
4. Is-Sibt u l-Ħadd li ġej il-ġabriet fil-quddies se jitqiesu bħala Offerta ta’ S. Pietru; jintbagħtu lill-Papa biex huwa jqassam skont il-ħtiġijiet li jinqalgħu mad-dinja s-sena d-dieħla.

Parish Notices   St John of the Cross  - Ta’ Xbiex
19th June 2011 – Trinity Sunday
 
1. We are celebrating Father’s Day. All Masses are offered for the repose or needs of our fathers. As we did on Mother’s Day at the end of all Masses we are offering to all fathers present a token of appreciation.     
 
2. On Tuesday we shall be holding a Eucharistic Cenacle after evening Mass followed by Benediction.
 
3. Next Sunday the parish will welcome its new communicants at a special Mass at 4.00pm. There will be nineteen children accompanied by their families to receive the Lord Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time. The St Julian’s Choir will be providing the festive musical scores inspired by the verses of our National Poet Dun Karm. Let’s pray for these children and their families while appreciating the good work done by our hard working catechists these last months. This week will see a more intense preparation for the new communicants and their families.
 
4.  Coming weekend collections at all Masses will be considered as Peter’s Pence – the Catholic Church’s yearly collection –which HH the Pope uses to hand out aid for various causes around the world.
